So stop acting as though Armageddon is here because we have a snowstorm predicted for tomorrow. God, I hate the 'weathercasters' on the local news.

1. I know right?
WI went back into the deep freeze a few days ago (after an unusual warm spell) and everyone is losing their collective mind. Um, hello, I remember it snowing on Easter periodically when I was a kid!

3. We had that warm spell too
Everyone seemed to think that was it for winter. Since when has winter ended on February 11 in the Great Lakes?

On the other hand, I don't know why the local Art Center planned an 'Art-ini' martini tasting pub crawl for tonight and not April either. Wind chill will be about ten below so I hope the martinis keep us warm.

2. !
I'm not a fan of winter _anywhere_ so a snowstorm always feels like Armageddom to me. :scared:

Here: have a little of our sun. :*

4. Oh how I don't miss that. I was just talking with my dad about how
the weathercasters are freaking out, will stretch the total inches as far as is believable (OMG, it "could be" up to 6 inches...in some areas) and then it ends up being rain or a light dusting. Between that and states always trying to find a "connection" to their state in tragedy. (Think, "And here's a Michigan connection to the plane crash in outer Mongolia") It is enough to drive one batty. TGIF. Boys of summer are practicing!

11. Two years ago we got on camera in all our ridiculous (staving off the cold)

12. But it's going to get COLD!
They say that everytime the temperature drops below freezing like it's some big damn surprise. Let be know if it is sinking below 0 deg. F. Otherwise STFU about how bitter cold it is going to be.

I know we don't get it as bad in OH as you Michiganders do. Every time we get an inch of snow, everyone forgets how to drive and they close schools.

13. I dread driving to work on snowy mornings
Not only because of the idiots on the road; I am inevitably caught between the person going 10mph and the crazy SUVer who wants to drive over me, but because as soon as I get in I will be engulfed with "how much snow at your house?" "how bad was the driving?" "it's really windy, do you have any drifts?" followed by a fifteen minute tale of how long it took their windshield to defrost.
