Poll question: Is your tap water, where you live
I noticed I can post polls now, so I thought I'd try one.

So, is your tap water, where you live...

7. Too wet?
What's the best method you've found for filtering out the excess wet?

8. What, you don't know? Boil it down to the crystals, then rehydrate with distilled water
then boil that off to cure the wetness, and snort it. Duh!

3. Dangerous.
It seems our local water purification folks declined to notify us that our water was not safe to drink for an ENTIRE MONTH last year. I found out about it from a local clean water activist earlier this week.

Gotta love living in a state that's owned and operated by the coal mining industry....

4. Stinky, too overly clorinated, green, and slimy.
I hate City of Rockingham water. It's good for toilet use, but I won't drink it. If you leave a glass of water setting on the table for an hour or more, a brown ring starts to form along the surface edges and at the bottom of the glass. You have to scrub it to wash it out too. Along with the smell and the green color, the brown spots are just too much.

I know it's treated to high heaven and it comes from the brown water in the Pee Dee River, which is polluted with mercury, redneck piss and shit, industrial waste and who knows what else. There is a reason the channel catfish in that river grow to be the size of whales. I think the redneck sludge is poisonous. I think all that crap is poisonous.

I'll take my Dr Pepper for drinking purposes. When I have to drink water, I'll take Dasani. Charlotte's rednecks are a little less poisonous and stinky, I've noticed.

12. add to that the smell from Buffalo Creek on certain days.
... Eurgh! it really does stink sometimes.

The water that the city provides isn't that bad, just not that good.

We're off city limits and are on a well right now. That water's OK.

Mark.

10. I voted other...
sometimes it's just wet enough...when it's coming out of the pipes and down the drain as it should. But if it's NOT going down the pipes or coming out where it shouldn't , it's TOO wet!

13. Too hard. Like a white penis.
Seriously; when I had a 40Gl aquarium, I did water hardness tests. The mineral content of the water was so high, it was well beyond the ability of my testing kit to accurately display.
