I was pulling for Mickey Rourke, but I'm happy Penn won it if nothing else than
for that completely truthful (and not mean-spirited) bitch-slap across the face of fundies and ultra-Conservatives everywhere. I was on the phone with my dad and we both put down the phone to stand up and cheer.

1. Rourke would have rambled on about his dog
Penn, on the otherhand, took on the hate-filled fundie nutjobs

3. He probably would've
and my philosophical emotions would've given every award to Milk. I just thought that Rourke gave the best performance of the year. Both he and Penn blew me out of the water, and I have zero problems with Penn winning it.

4. I too was pulling for Rourke, but Sean Penn's speech was incredible and his performance in "Milk"
Edited on Mon Feb-23-09 12:14 AM by Pushed To The Left
was excellent. I liked how he put the smack down on the far right and gave props to Rourke!

5. Sean Penn was amazing.
Very excellent performance and movie.

And he loved Bidu Sayao in "Tosca" (Obscure opera reference Harvey makes in the movie).
