Strange question I know: How to contact someone you used to know who has become "famous."
This was a person who meant a lot to me. He was one of the most major influences on my life. But he's been very successful in his industry to the point where I can't figure out how to contact him. I'm sure it will be hard to figure out how to even write an email to him. But it would mean a lot to me to contact him.

Any suggestions?

1. I did this recently
someone I knew as an acquaintance. He had managed to achieve something very fantastic and I wanted to send congratulations, as I knew it had been a lifelong dream for him.

I googled him and shot him an email. Congratulated him. We sent a couple of "here's what I'm doing now" and commiserating-about-grad-school messages, then let it drop, which was appropriate contextually.

It was easy for me to reach him because he worked for a federal agency, but the Google may get you to this person's contact information. If not, are there mutual friends/acquaintances/contacts that you might be able to contact to get his info?

3. Thank you for sharing this. I'm trying the search engines and hopefully will be able
to find an email.

Hugs, and thanks

2. Hmmm...it's hard to say without know what industry he's in
If he's an entertainer or professional athlete, I would attempt to contact him through his agent. Many "famous" people have websites these days. Have you searched for him on Google yet?

4. Yeah, he's in an "entertainer" in a sense. He was also very humble and shy when I knew
him, and he still is, based on my Google Search.

But I won't give up. I will find some way to reach him.
