Dead, dead, eternally dead. Cats chasing each other + open beer + open laptop = no more laptop. x( x( x(

I'm still in shock. 2 years of stuff gone. Also, now we're down to 1 computer now, and we're both internet junkies.

Sigh...

1. BoyM chasing BabyM + full cup of coffee + open laptop
= $450 for a new motherboard for a 3 month old computer.

I feel your pain.

4. I think the stickiness of the beer killed it
It tries to turn on, but it can't. It just makes the startup noise over and over. I'm just in shock. Happened last night.

Today I need to unwind from that meeting I told you I was going to have with my adviser. It went well. I've been released from the stuff I needed to get out of. :pals:

7. That's what a friend said
Once I have some $$, I'll look into that. And, I guess it's no more Macs for me, since there's no way I can afford another one anytime soon.

8. YIKES, and OUCH!
My condolences to you and your dearly departed Macbook. All may not be lost. Unless the hard drive suffered a fatal crash during the hijinks, you should be able to removed it, attach it via a USB drive enclosure that will take a 2.5" laptop drive and let you plug it into your other computer, as long as it's a Mac also.

But as others have said it may be salvageable.

On the bright side, you will now have more time to work on that knitting. :)

20. Sorry to hear, bibaby.
But I understand. The beagle spilled hot chocolate on mine the same evening Shamu pulled three keys off the key board. It's a wonder it still functions. I figure it's only a matter of time.

So, sorry.
