What the fuck am I doing with my life? |
|
Seriously? Nothing. Absolutely fucking nothing. All I have right now is my work, the only thing in my life that is going RIGHT. Everything else is a fucking colossal train wreck. Family, friends, relationships of any sort. And I know, realistically, I can't stay at this job forever if I want to make a decent living. But I'm scared to go back to school because I might have to move soon, in which case I couldn't afford to take classes for awhile. Meanwhile time ticks away and I feel like...like...like I'll wake up one day in my 30's wondering what the hell happened to my wasted potential. That's what I feel like right now...a waste. Argh.

4. You're young. Not to patronize, but you have your entire life |
|
in front of you. THings will fall into place. You're too nice of a guy for them not to.
Don't despair. Hell I didn't even meet my husband until I was 30.

5. I ask myself that in bed every morning upon waking. |
|
Sorry you're feeling it too. It sucks.
On the other hand, I can look back and see how much stuff I've actually done, gone through, etc. and a lot of it was cool shit...so maybe the next forty one years will bring just as much cool shit. That's a long damn time for things to happen and for me to do new things.
Meanwhile time ticks away and I feel like...like...like I'll wake up one day in my 30's wondering what the hell happened to my wasted potential.
Your not supposed to have a midlife crisis until your my age. Wait 'til the big four zero, because I'm forty one and you're really making me feel old. ;)

7. Why don't you know how old you are? |
|
I doubt it's a happy story, so I hope you don't mind the question.

8. not unhappy whatsoever, i was born outside and all my mother knows is that i was born in the snow. |
|
i can roughly date my birth to the winter of 69/70/71. But we dont really go by calendars, just seasons.

Glad to hear that. I was thinking along the lines of "abandoned boy raised by wolves" or something like that.
I hope you can tolerate my prying, but I have 2 more questions. I see you're in Virginia now but you could have been born elsewhere. Where were you born and are you American Indian? (if so, what tribe? ok, I miscounted. That's 3 questions)
I feel I should reciprocate here a little. Born at a precise time and date in NYC to an Irish immigrant and a standard White American Mutt. Grew up, and still live, in Pennsylvania. Remarkably unremarkable, but, you have to admit, you're own story does invite questions.

I still don't know what I want to be or do when I grow up. Just remember that things change. Always do. This is only a sucky cycle..Peddle through it the best that you can. I wish you the best of luck.
