I was done with the Padma a long time ago.
I hope she doesn't get Richard - Marcel would be good.

She is good at prep and has no ego -- like most of the rest.

ColiciJerko isn't fond of female chefs, so I expect Stefan to win.

Carla just doesn't have it.
Every chef I know is hoping she doesn't win.

She's a good prep, sometimes, but not a chef.

Besides the whole thing of not working to recipe is rubbish. Every chef I know works to recipe cards.

63. "His food was better than Carla's" - how many of those dishes
did you actually get to taste? Unfortunately, as viewers, we can't really make a decent judgment on any of the food beyond the visual aspects. I have to put some level of trust into what those who are eating the dishes have to say about them, and Carla's food seemed to get lots of love from some of the titans of the business...

61. Carla robbed herself
she listened to Casey instead of 'listening to the love'

I thought Carla should have been eliminated in the early weeks of the show but she came on strong at the very end and personally I think this was hers to lose. But Casey started giving her advice and she made dishes that were not her styling. Had she just did want she knows best she would have won that whole event.

60. This seemed like the hollowest victory ever
Hosea just never did it for me. Plus, didn't he ALREADY do a venison with a blackberry jus earlier in the program? Or was that someone last year? I just think I recall that dish.

I always thought that being a Top Chef was bringing a unique viewpoint to your food and not just being a technician.

Carla did have the most unique viewpoint and the most personal food and I wish she did not let Casey take over her menu like that. Oh well, a Top Chef cooks the food they want to make, so I think she legitimately lost.

My favorites on the show were Carla, Fabio and Jeff. I wish they had been the final 3. I always thought Jeff just got completely screwed, especially when they kept Leah, who brought NOTHING instead of him. He really looks like a tortured genius.

This year, pfft! Hosea is eminently forgettable.

62. I think Jeff would have been in the final 3 if Stefan wasn't bottom 2 for that last challenge...
before the final.

He and Carla were pretty much tied but they couldn't justify sending home Stefan, who was scoring big all season. If Jeff won then Fabio and Stefan would have been sent home (Hosea was better than those 2).

So they gave the win to Carla to keep Stefan in the game.

It seemed they (Colicchio and Young) used Fabio so they wouldn’t look like they were choosing based on personal feelings. The editors showed Fabio twice surprised at and criticizing Stefan’s choice to make dessert.
