2. Fave: The red delicious apple. Least fave: kiwi - it's neither sweet enough nor tangy enough |
|
to please me. And the gelid texture is just yucky...

I think my favorite fruit is apples. No, wait. Raspberries! Fresh peaches!
I can't decide! :D
Mangoes, though, I don't really care for.

I'm having trouble thinking of a fruit I don't like. I guess my least favorite would be those bland red delicious apples, although I like other kinds of apples.

9. Not a big fan of eating fruit whole.... |
|
....I don't know, it's a weird OCD quirk with me. I just hate the concept of having to bite into a fruit and still having the half eaten remains in my hand. It sort of grosses me out, I don't know why.
That being said, I love fruit pastries, such as pies and cobblers.
If you are counting berries as fruit, I do like berries. Especially blueberries.
And I like citrus fruit.
I guess my favorite fruit product would have to be orange juice, however. I can't go by a day without having a glass of orange juice. It's the adopted Floridian in me.

Least favorite: oranges. I like the taste, but they're messy to eat and my hands smell like oranges for the rest of the day no matter how much I wash them. It gets under my nails and stuff. Do not want.

Durian smells like rotting meat. An idiotic roommate brought one home, and after the show and tell, I told him it stinks like ground beef that's been in the refrigerator for 6 months. He laughed and said "I know! Isn't it cool?"
:eyes:
I have yet to taste the prickly pear. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

27. REALLY hard to choose a favorite, but of all that I have tried |
|
an over ripe yellow banana is probably my least favorite. I can eat them slightly green but they are never the first choice from a bowl of fruit.
Drupes are probably my main favorites: cherries, peaches, apricots but I love tropical fruits, citrus, and berries too.

Well, we had probably 8 different specialists come out to look at it from every field we suspected might be related- plumber, home inspector, floor dude, basement dude, foundation dude, concrete dude, etc. NOBODY had a clue what it was or had every seen anything like it. None of them would even agree to dig it up. The handyman for our condo building finally agreed to dig it up and found...
...absolutely nothing.
No tree root, no leaks, no critters, no aliens, no escaping prisoners, no gateway to hell, nothing. For months it actually remained an open hole in our floor. If anyone knew about it and wanted to break into our house, they just had to burrow under the flower bed in our front yard. Even as an open hole for all that time (during some HEAVY summer storms with widespread flooding), nothing came out of it except two spiders. The best guess anyone could come up with was a bad concrete pour that decomposed over time. So the concrete dude filled the hole, patched it up and smoothed it over.
I still worry about it though. We had some crazy rain last night and I went down and checked the floor, but it was just fine. It's weird not knowing what the problem was so you have no way of knowing whether you actually fixed it. Hopefully we did, because that new carpeting wasn't cheap.
Sorry, that was a long-winded answer. :)

41. It was funny that I recognized your user name but the husband and I were actually |
|
talking about it this week! We are rotating family members to house-sit my sister's place in the big city (and baby sit the pets) but right before she left her kitchen drain clogged. Some rotorooter type guy charged her 200 bucks for essentially nothing (well he did pinpoint the clog which was helpful although I don't think worth $200) and wanted 600 MORE to actually fix it because he couldn't move it with is snake and it required some digging. I said don't worry about it we could do it for $50 and beer. Sheesh! Anyway, somehow while we were working on it husband asked whatever happened to that basement floor problem from "your website"? I think it had come up before too. I always forgot to do a search when I got on line the next time so that is kind of funny.
I forgot all about it till I saw your post this morning. I will tell him.
