It's worse than trying to find a rhyme for "orange."

So far I have "Nantucket" and I rhymed it with "bucket" and now I'm stuck.

I'm going to fix dinner and maybe it will come to me later tonight.

7. I saw Gary Puckett in concert...
...it was on the Monkees' late-80s reunion tour, without Mike Nesmith. The lineup was:

Herman's Hermits (only one original member, and it wasn't singer Peter Noone)

Gary Puckett & The Union Gap (Gary Puckett, yes, but no Union Gap)

The Grass Roots (singer Rob Grill but no additional Roots)

The Monkees (Dolenz, Jones, Tork)

One "house band" backed up all of the acts.

That's basically my one and only Gary Puckett story, but I know SOME people who don't even have one.

13. Yep...the Monkees had that "new" song, "That Was Then, This Is Now"...
...which they played at the show. They also recorded "Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere" and a cover version of Paul Revere & The Raiders' "Kicks" (a throwback to the time when both bands had recorded "Stepping Stone," I guess), stuck them on a CD with 25 "greatest hits," and had some "new product" to pimp at the shows, "Then & Now: The Best Of The Monkees"...

I remember one of the highlights from the show being Peter Tork's perfect regurgitation of Glen Campbell's guitar solo from "Vallari," his personal crusade to inform the world that he was, in fact, a "serious musician."

8. I'll bet that somewhere between "Forget about it" and "Fuggedaboudit"...
...lies the very NEXUS of what I'm seeking.

Check back in a couple of hours. We may have stumbled on to something. And by "we" I mean "me" when I nail that rhyme, sell the poem for 50 gazillion dollars, keep ALL the money (but I will publicly thank you here) and move to a South Pacific island where the only thing the natives are wearin' are smiles.

11. Solution within:
There once was a man from Nantucket
Watched the olympics in Pawtucket
He said about Lars
on the parallel bars
"Did you see that landing? He stuck it!"

There once was a man in Pawtucket
who couldn't rhyme spit with a bucket
he ranted and cussed

17. Much like Nantucket, there is a resort in Thailand named Phucket
I believe it is pronounced in a way that it rhymes with Nantucket.
Let me know if this helps.
