2. You poor, poor soul
This morning it was almost 40° out and sunny.

Over the past 12 hours, we've just received 8" of snow, and it's into the 20s.

Forgive me if I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for you right now. :P

4. it just seems like it happens earlier and earlier every year
my husband is working in Wyoming/Colorado right now and he got really excited about a 35 degree day last week.

6. update: cold front, now it is back in the low 50's and heading downward
rapidly. Sposed to be in the 30's Sat night.

It is just the weirdness of spring in Texas.

the only significant thing here is that we are farmers and when things get all warmlike and act like spring, the trees tend to get all happy and blossom. TheN the really cold hard facts happen and the late freeze hits, and kills all those blossoms, and then there are no peaches, or plums, or nectarines because the buds all froze over.

AND THAT SUCKS.

Even Weatherford didn't have any peaches at the peach festival last year.
