7. Trying to steer your money to blue companies is a nearly impossible task
the only blue retail type store, I am aware of, is CostCo

8. Yup.
But just commenting on how Target contributes to Reps is enough to get you skinned alive. I live in Minneapolis, I know Target. I grew up on Target. Now, I choose not to shop there. But others think it's such a progressive company. Feh.

11. Yeah, that's become a lot easier since I moved...
Unfortunately even in this area they're starting to die out. There was a nice little independant bookstore/cafe in my small town, and a used bookstore in each of the two nearest towns. All three are gone now. :(
