1. We had a nice little crescent on the east coast, with a bright Venus.

I am trying to see the comet, but I am too near to the city, I think.

2. unfortunately clouds are making it blurry in San Diego, but I see

the crescent moon and a bright object below and to the right, which I assume is Venus, is there supposed to be a comet too?

One day...

For now, I shall look at pictures of the beautiful heaven that is California and the western part of the US and dream. :)

We have some beauty on the east coast too, but I've always wanted to see the west too.

I think everyone should be in Yosemite Valley at least once in their life. Best time is a weekday in May or early June. XemaSab used to live 3 miles from the park entrance.

5. I've seen the east and I have seen the west

They're both pretty, but it's a different kind of pretty. ;)

The west has big, dramatic rocks and mountains, but the east has trees. :shrug:
