Okaaaaaay. I just smelled my grandmother's body powder. |
|
She's been dead since Easter 1987 and I haven't seen her kind of body powder since 1987, nor do we own any.
Should I call the "other" John Edwards now? On second thought, maybe I shouldn't. It's kind of soothing to smell her around here.
She was really religious(in a good way). I wonder if I can get her to ask the Big Guy for a huge favor for me. How would I go about doing that?
This is eerie. I kinda like it though. :)

1. I've had moments like that -- |
|
with one of my grandmothers who has been gone since 1989. Mostly its an odor - like you say, powder - that will trigger it.
Kind of like a wink or a hug, isn't it?

It's so sweet. Sunday Girl, my oldest cat, was also looking behind me earlier when I smelled it like she was looking at somebody. :)

5. I smell cigarette smoke sometimes. No one smokes in our house. |
|
It's either my dad or MIL checking in, I guess. Cigarettes killed both of them.

6. I smell cigarette smoke too. It is the furniture I inherited from my aunt |
|
and a couple of pictures that hung in my in-laws house..reeking from the absorbed toxins.

7. We don't have anything like that in the house. |
|
Which is why it is just strange to get a whiff of smoke!

9. I inherited a box my grandmother kept he makeup and jewelry in. Inside |
|
was a lipstick in a hot pink shade she favored. After she died I used to open the lid and look inside and smile. They should have named that particular lipstick "granny Mac pink".
