New/old puter in the House 'O denbot

I got tired of the dk's killing our laptops. I found a 3gb p4 dual processor interlace (?) 1.5gb ram 80gb for what I think is a good deal $160. I would rather replace mice and keyboards then have one of two laptops in the repair shop ever other month.

Is this a good deal for the level of technology?
