I spell it both ways...

I have a preference for the "grey" spelling I think.

2. I do too. I tend towards the "e". Don't know why.
I think the "a" is a more Americanized spelling. Why do I think that? I don't know. :shrug:

7. I think it's Grey if you're English, Gray if you're American....
...and Grey if you learned vocabulary words from Beatrix Potter, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien, like I did. :blush:

13. Gray in UK is usually a last name. Grey for everything else.
John Major was certainly grey. oh, and it was the Old Grey Whistle Test.

14. I always use gray. Spelling it grey would make me feel like a poser -
as would putting the "u" in words like color and neighbor. It's not me.
