2. A...why are you watching a movie on Bravo? |
|
Honestly Bravo and AMC do nothing but take a hatchet to otherwise great films...
And B: Everyone is entailed to their opinions of movies no matter how awful Patch Adams really is I understand it does appeal to a certain type of viewer. The kind of veiwer who also likes Pretty Woman and Mr Holland's Opus...
In the spirit of unity I will not use the shorthand for such a viewer

4. I did not like Pretty Woman at all. |
|
But there is alot to Patch Adams that is very very deep for me.
Its one of my favorites.
Favorite line. "I once drew a picture of a rabbit, got me two gold stars"
It reminds me of a friend also, so there is that also.

3. Is that the film where he plays the sympathetically unorthodox genius character? |

That made the decision after a trying time, to become a doctor. And he fights against the ideas of emotional distance from the patients, he believed being a doctor was also connecting with patients.
To be fair, that does put an extra burden on doctors, but the gist is a sort of mind and heart comment. Has a few twist and turns, and some comedy.
Its really good though.
:) If you play real close attention they even show a few angels in the show :)
