My fecking soon to be ex has more balls than brains
so after he whined about splitting of assets at our first hearing (resulting in having my assets frozen until the next hearing even though his attorney and mine think he is being ridiculous because I am walking away from the house and asking for next to nothing) he had the balls to call may mom to see if she would ask me to pay part of the cable bill, um hello asshole, I have no access to my $ thanks to you and now you want me to pay your bills on services in the house that I am no longer living in and have literally asked for him to be GIVEN in my filing?

*oh and did I mention, before our court date he took $2000 out of savings and never accounted for it so he actually has cashflow?

2. Now hang on a minute.
How on earth did you end up marrying MY ex-husband????? :wow:

I will pass to you the wise words that a good family friend who is also a fantastic family attorney shared with me during my parallel ordeal:

When people get divorced, they go temporarily insane.

I've been through the fire and made it out the other side. You will, too. Promise.

3. Thank you, it is always good to hear that it will get better...
of course my attorney (mr. detached reasonable former Marine that he is) keeps telling me, "the more of an asshole he makes himself look like, the better it is for you in the long run). I suppose that is true and given his win record he knows his stuff, but there are moments when bbm's alternative looks better and better :P

7. This is very, very true.
I let mine keep the house because it would cost more than it was worth to make all the necessary repairs (black mold, bad wiring, leaky foundation, basement prone to flooding, lath-and-plaster that was coming apart, radiators that didn't work, very little insulation, etc., etc., etc.) and had to fight my own attorney tooth and nail not to take an equalization payment, which would have meant selling that money pit and not saddling him with it.

Let him be the ass. The family court judge will love you all the more for taking the moral high ground. ;)

8. I should introduce him to my ex. They'd make a splendid couple
Between them, they'd have four balls, and no brains.

Mine did something very similar. When we split, we had approx $8k in a savings account. We kept the account in her name, although the $$$ in it came from both of us.

When we split, I asked for $2k from the account to retain a lawyer. Not only did she deny me the $$$, she took the entire account, and THEN went after a couple of retirement accounts that were in my name and contained money that I made from BEFORE we were married-- i.e., non-marital assets.

Divorce really brings out the worst in people.

Then there's a link. A smoking gun. Best just to be a ghost.

Besides, my pits are too nice. I've ruined them. Unless he's coming onto my property, or coming after me, they're useless for violence.

29. Unbelievable!
I hate men! I will rant with you on this. When me and mine split I was devestated, I was the one who suggested the split but I didnt think it had to get so ugly and we had a house together. I didnt want anything, ANYTHING I just wanted to move out, get my own place and start over. That wasnt good enough, he made it where I had to give him money, AND i got stuck w/ all the debt, AND I got stuck w/ the house and he took all the furniture, he took all my pictures on his computer and hid them from me, he posted a personals site on adult friend finder .com which is the raunchies website I have ever seen and told everyone I left him for someone else so they would all hate me and take his side. Which is total bullshit but he is right no matter what...........which was the problem in the first place so............LOL yeah! Yours is worse but I still hate him and all men! :toast:

31. It does take some nerve
to ask you to pay his cable bill.

As well you know, just take the high road, it will pay off in the end.

And if you're lucky, he'll piss off the judge on that final day (mine did). Judges don't like to be disrespected. ;)

Good luck and hang in there. It'll be over in hmmmmm 169 days now? (or something like that).
