3. 4.4
since it was in San Jose, didn't feel it much up here, most people didn't realize it was an earthquake --in San Jose (45 miles away) I'm sure everyone felt it pretty good.

5. It was fun sized. Or at least that is the terminology the natives use.
We did not feel it in SoCal.

As far as I can estimate, fun sized is in the range of 3.0 - 5.5, but last year's 5.4 that we experienced nearly had me in a rubber room with a very long sleeved jacket.

8. our 5.6 in San Jose a year and half ago lasted 30 seconds
now that was scary. i actually stood in two different doorways it lasted so long (i noticed a lot of glass near me in the first doorway). now, to have time to do that is saying something.

9. Yikes
I think our 5.4 last summer was about 20-25 seconds. Felt like an eternity.

4. There seem to be a lot of threads about this earthquake. Are people getting nervous out there
because of the volcano in Alaska?

6. we have quakes in the 4 range occasionally
at least a few times per year, so a 4 is news because people feel it, but not because people think it's a precursor.

7. Just watch out for those earthquakes that chase things. I saw one
on a sci-fi movie (10.5?) that ate an entire passenger train and didn't even burp!

10. I felt it in Los Gatos but no one else in the store did
I think it was because I was upstairs. It just felt like someone walking across the floor of a creaky building - just a small roll.

Move along - nothing to see. :)
