It should not involve weed or alcohol or sex. and should not be "go to the cinema", or "listen to music."

5. Okay. Then do some math. |
|
Here's your question/problem. You bake a loaf of bread, shaped like the top half of a sphere of radius 15 inches. If you cut the bread into slices which are 1-inch thick, which slice would have the most crust? (We'll say that the crust only appears on the top of the loaf--not on the bottom.) Aaaaaaaaand, start mathing!

10. It depends on the thickness of the crust. |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-18-09 01:42 AM by Lionel Mandrake
If the crust is of negligible thickness, then all slices have the same amount of crust.
For crust of finite thickness less than one inch, the top slice has slightly less crust than the other slices.
If the loaf is all crust, then the bottom slice has more crust than any other slice.

11. Read "Roma" by Steven Saylor. |
|
Hundreds of years of Roman history disguised as a novel. Plenty of violence. What could be more fun?

12. Google a phrase that you hear sometimes but don't fully understand. |
|
Find out the origins.
Or, take two minor interests and google them together. Such as, ancient+gardening or electrical+trendy or polish+rock. Be random.

13. Read "Aztec" by Gary Jennings |
|
It has something like 1100 pages, and I still couldn't put it down.
Or "Shibumi" by Trevanian (keeping in mind it was written around 1979).

17. Ride a bicycle. It's slow enough that you can look around, but fast enough |
|
(versus walking) that you can actually get somewhere.
I'm hoping, hoping, hoping, that I'll recover eough to be able to ride this summer. I used ot ride until my brains fell out, and I really miss it.
