Who here LOVES New Orleans music?
Can I get a yeah brother?!?!

Liten to www.WWOZ.org for the the fest all next weekend. (it is over for this weekend).

And ATT is going to be webcasting the fest next weekend http://www.nojazzfest.com/

And when the fest itself is over for the night.....

Then be sure to listen and watch the webcasts at http://www.tipitinas.com/content/webcast/default.asp to see some of NOLA's finest. Tonight is some great blues with Charlie Musslewhite and tommorow is Instruments a Coming, the best show of the fest. Every NOLA band gives it all they got for 40 minutes or so. Big party in the street too.

Galactic and The Chilluns Featuring Annie Clements of "Sugarland", Cranston Clements of Twangorama, Dave Malone of The Radiators, Johnny Malone, Darcy Malone, Spencer Bohren, and Andre Bohren of Johnny Sketch and Rebirth Brass Band and Donald Harrison & The T.I.P. Interns and Soul Rebels and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave and Big Sam's Funky Nation and Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Johnny Vidacovich, George Porter, Jr., Ivan Neville, and special guest Theresa Andersson

1. YEAH BROTHER!
Thanks for the link. And I can honestly say that I've played New Orleans. Once I was checking out a street band down there and they asked me to stand in on washboard so I did. A great time was had by all. It was in 1987. Tab Benoit was just starting, Dr. John was still relevant (still is), The Neal family was starting to establish their Blues pedigree, The Allman Bros. Band headlined the Jazz and Heritage Festival. But the real fun was out on the streets with the locals. And it always will be.

3. Great Pics!
No, I am not in any of those pics. Sigh. Wish I had half the talent the Neal Family, Tab Benoit, Aaron Neville, or any other New Orleans musician has.

4. Jazz Fest is one of the coolest things in the world
Been a few times, and loved it. Everything from dixieland to cowpunk.
