Graduation gift advice needed.
Boy from high school

Girl from 8th grade.

Aside from new tech things like Ipods, computers, etc. What do kids want these days?

2. iTunes cards or any other gift cards....
if the boy is going to college, he might appreciate a gift card to a local grocer or target, etc.

4. Money
I would go with "book store gift cards", but I don't trust ANY gift cards now - stores are dropping like flies and the cards are worthless after that.

6. Money -
kids know what to do with cash. It's by far the best gift.

Gift cards are taxed twice - which pisses me off - and they limit where the kids can shop. Why put such restrictions on them?

A nice check is the best kind of gift - all that freedom and your generosity. And it's the easiest for you. Just tell them you'd like to know what they do with the money - that'll make it easier for them when they write their thank-you notes.

Or, if you want to drive them insane, a nice cardigan for the girl, a nice umbrella for the boy............................

I think it's going to be money in the form of a cashier's check in a card. Thanks all.
