need advice for a trip to Africa |

has any one been??? thinking of using Abacrombie and Kent as the trip planner
want to see and photograph the wildlife and any suggestions will be appreciated

Africa is a very, very big place. Much depends upon where in Africa you go.
But I have two thoughts. First, you're probably going to need some innoculations. Depending on where you are going, some of these are actually a series of shots. So look into this, and start now.
Second, with regard to lenses, think looonnnnggg focal lengths. The faster the better. And a nice big, empty beanbag. You can fill it with birdseed, rice or beans when you get there. Give the rice or beans to someone who needs it when you leave. Or scatter the birdseed for the birds.

Forget about Kenya or Tanzania, you will get gouged. If you want exotic wildlife Costa rica is pretty good too and you can do that on your own.

I am so jealous, I have always wanted to go to Africa. With 5 kids I don't think it will be in our budget for awhile.
