Why is that? Is it my ennui or is it just that kind of day on DU? Anybody got a theory or smartass remark or something they'd care to share?

6. The pic is from a thread in which I suggested the idea &

various people contributed their photoshopped versions. This one is the one that most struck my fancy, so I went back & found it & added it. I can't immediately remember the name of its creator, which I tried to add as a credit in the sig line. I'll have to go back & try again.

5. I pretty much stayed out of those things

even when they sometimes almost seemed to matter. I almost never ventured into the GD Primary forum unless I got led there by a post on the front page or something. I supported Dean for reasons that made sense to me, but didn't have it in me to get into hatefests or big discussions about the relative merits of the candidates.

As far as Kerry goes, I've had my doubts, but our privileged rich boy Bonesman is better than their PRB Bonesman, even if he does seem to have his tap roots sunk into the same money aquifer.
