Somebody put it on Urban Dictionary as being from Stephen King's "The Dark Tower." (The Urban Dictionarians hated it, by the way.) I've never read "The Dark Tower," but I've read other Stephen King; maybe I got it from him. I read it as meaning "stymied," more or less.
