Is Offensive Body Odor A Reason to Boot A Roommate?
If so, then my mother-in-law has got to go.

Any "help" from my fellow DU'ers as to how I should 'phrase' my ouster address?

1. You need to talk with her about the problem before you kick her out.
Or maybe it would be better for your wife to talk with her.

You know the whole acquiescence thing. How can you kick her out all of a sudden if you've acquiesced up to now? :hi:

4. First it was her smoking (verboten), now it's the 'perfume' she uses to disguise the smoke
...and her own body odor.

No worries, Heidi: she's family, and I'm sure my wife will buy me noseplugs before we give her mother notice to vacate.

;-)

3. If you have an extra room and would like an extra $300 a month
I'm sure something could be arranged.

7. why not tell her?
like

"had a bath lately?"

"what's smells, oh you"

just kidding, I am sure there are nicer ways to say it but in my family people are normally pretty direct.

8. Spray bottle of Febreeze whenever she walks into the room
If possible spray it directly at her.
