Never been to NOLA either. My mom and sis went 2 months before Katrina hit. They said it's HOT. Really hot. Almost too hot. Although I am not sure what the weather will be like when you go.
They thought it was an interesting city. They thought it was very dirty in most spots, and this was before Katrina. They were mixed on the food. They are both picky eaters. They said Emeril's place was great, though.
