My verdict:

I very much enjoyed it, more than most of his other later period works that have come out recently. It was nice seeing the city of New York in Allen's movies once again as well.

I may have an unconscious bias though, as I was coming into this film a huge Larry David fan. I love "Seinfeld" and think "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is the best TV show ever, so obviously I think he is a brilliant person.

From what I understand, David never had a real acting gig before this one. On "Seinfeld" he was a producer/writer and though he stars in "Curb", most of the dialogue and acting are improvised. Despite this, I thought he pulled it off and did a great job as the main character - a misanthropic physicist who thinks he's tragically smarter than pretty much everyone else.

To my surprise, the film has been received critically with mixed reviews. I'd like to hear the thoughts of DUers regarding it!
