5. True fact: many DVD versions of the film don't have the jump-to-chapter "feature"
I didn't know that was a "feature" until I bought the DVD and found out that it didn't feature that feature.

9. I believe that last time I saw it I decided
Edited on Thu Jul-09-09 11:15 PM by crispini
that it was actually two movies cut together with the "blue box" scene in the middle of the movie representing a point at which we switched from one timeline to another, or one movie to another, or something like that. I'm going to watch it again as part of an upcoming David Lynch film festival I have planned via Netflix, so I'll let you know what I think later. :D

10. It's only the BEST FIL M EVER
Understanding it is unimportant.

Experiencing it is the only thing that matters.

FWIW, the "conventional" explanation is that Diane shoots herself after her lover leaves her, and everything that happens before is a dream of her perfect reality.

I need to go see it again. For the 35th time. :D

17. it really is a great film
And while I don't think understanding it is entirely unimportant, I agree that the experience is what's really key. It's a movie that rewards surrender, if one is willing to surrender to it. :)
