So who makes a GOOD broadsword these days?
I'll bet you a nickle that someone who was skilled with a mallet could pound my best kitchen knife sideways through the blade in that photo, with little or no damage to the kitchen knife.

I didn't realize it was double-edge when I ordered it. I got her a single-edge later to use in kum-do (kendo). She's almost 16 and quite deadly with a sword.
