Former Warrant Singer Charged with DUI

We've learned the ex-front man for the 80's hairband Warrant -- Jani Lane -- was officially charged with DUI and hit-and-run.

The 45-year-old singer was busted on June 17th when he allegedly hit a parked car in Los Angeles. Lane refused to take a sobriety test.

If convicted, Lane could get 6 months in the slammer and a $1,000 fine.

He's set to be arraigned today.

I saw the "amateur porn" flick he made with his one-time girlfriend Janine Lindemulder. He looked like an overweight moron laying back while a Penthouse Pet worked him over. When Janine's photos first appeared in Penthouse (long before she got into porn), she did a magazine signing at the Tower Books in Mountain View. She had virtually no makeup, her hair was flat, and she looked like she'd rather have been anywhere else on the planet. The crowd who showed up for autographs were Silicon Valley tech nerd types...lots of plastic-frame glasses and pocket protectors.

2. I would just like to point out

That could get a $1000 fine and 6 months in jail for driving while drunk and slamming into a parked car. But in other parts of the country possessing a few oz's of weed will get you a $10,000 fine and 2 years in jail.
