How to Fold a Bath Towel
Edited on Sat Jul-11-09 06:44 PM by pokerfan
Evidence that we are drawing near to the end of Lifehacks. (I think it's like finding the last page on the internets.)

Over at the organization blog Unclutterer, they offer a simple tutorial on folding a towel so that it's ready to be hung right out of the closet. The steps:

1. Either lay the bath towel front-side down on a clean surface or, if your arms are long enough, hold the towel in a similar manner:
2. Fold into thirds (lengthwise):
3. Fold the long strip in half (bring short edges together):
4. Fold the strip in half again.

And for lost souls unable to visualize those not-exactly-cryptic instructions there's even a link to a page with pictures and a video!

1. that is the correct way
if I ever flubbed that one, I was in a load of shit. My mother the OCD that she was, really didn't like misfolded towels.

10. That would be the correct way
if one is planning to hang the towel from the towel rack. HOWEVER, if one is planning to stack the towels on a shelf, the correct way is thus:

Fold the towel in half once, lengthwise, then once more.

Then fold the towel by thirds, in the other direction, with the first fold tucked inside the second.

The towels should be stacked so that no loose edges are showing.

I drove my children crazy too.
