Do you call people who disagree with you "idiots?"

Am I crazy or is this just kind of a trend right now. It seems like I am hearing the word "idiots" all of the time. And mostly the people aren't really "idiots" they just are in disagreement.

And I do this too but I think I am going to stop it. It's rude and most of the time I am the one being the "idiot."

but, mostly they are doing a Napoleon Dynamite imitation when they say it. I dont think they really think the person they are saying it to is an idiot.

I'm not sure I like it, being obscene is not something I have approved of others doing in the past when there was another way of saying something (entertainment exempted). On the other hand... I am sick to death of people that are willing to accept... even promote... the denial of equal rights for gays, women... hell, any minority. People that advance the assault on science. People that are against the separation of church and state... blaaaaaaaaaargh.... if I go on, I'll get obscene in this thread :D

I just find it harder and harder to hold my tongue and speak in a civilized manner. Sorry.
