Newsflash: PayPal (and eBay) suck royally... |
|
hate how you can only pay through PayPal, and how you can't use PayPal unless you give them access to your entire checking account.

|
and my eBay shopping has turned into a big fat ZERO.
I don't miss it at all. That's nice and surprising.....................

Is actually really good. All i have to do is give them my debit card number and they'll automatically debit what's needed from my account to pay for stuff.
i try to use them for every single thing that i can. I hate having to punch in my credit card number

5. I actually like paypal |
|
and I have given them access to my checking account. I set it up back in 1999, so I guess I was a little naive, but after years of transactions with absolutely no problems from paypal I continue to use them.
My daughter called me Friday, she was a little short in being able to pay her daycare bill because her air conditioner had gone out on her car last week and the repair was very costly. Within minutes the money was transferred straight to her checking account from mine WITH NO FEE! I used to hate those western union fees.

You don't have to have a pay pal account to buy through e-bay. You can click through the payment without even clicking on Pay Pal and Pay Pal sends you a receipt for the amount of your purchase.
Pay Pal does suck, though, but I haven't seen a problem with e-bay.

10. I have a dedicated checking account and a PayPal credit card. |
|
I've used it to pay bills even - just enter e-mail/password and it is done.
I keep the PayPal credit card paid off and transfer PayPal balances from eBay sales into the checking account regularly. The checking account doesn't even hold that much since I transfer out of that into a savings account regularly. This approach keeps the risk very well bounded.
