I've only watched one episode ever, and it was about people with eating disorders. Pretty interesting.

2. This ep was about an alcoholic father. One of the most intense eps I've seen. |
|
eps have been about bulimics, alcholics, drug addicts (mostly), video game addict, gambling addict.

8. Did he refuse to go to treatment? |
|
or did he go, then at the end they tell you he came out of recovery and started drinking again? I hate that !! It seems like a lot end that way.

It's sad in many ways. My dad finally quit by using Antabuse, but shortly after that, he found out he had cancer. He died 6 months later. Sometimes, life fucking sucks. :-(

15. Yeah, I just read what you posted about tonight's episode. |
|
My jaw dropped when I read it.
And I'm sorry I lost him too. There were lots of good things about him; I just didn't like him when he was drunk.
He passed away 32 years ago.

11. spoiler... don't read if you plan to watch later... |
|
He eventually went to treatment after the most intense intervention ever. They had to chase him down the street with him saying "no". He began walking home. Ken and family drove to get to his condo before him to remove his shotgun. He went into treatment after they threatened to have him committed. A few weeks later he was diagnosed with Esophagal cancer. He died sober.
I've seen a lot of Intervention eps including the famous "christy" ep. This was over the top with drama.

that is intense. I guess when they make those episodes they have absolutely no control over the outcome.

6. I didnt watch it tonight. |
|
watched it last week, a beautiful young lady with a drug problem who had a mother with an eating disorder. The whole family was messed up, and the father was right at the center trying to survive with all this craziness around him. It was very intense, too.

7. I missed last week. I avoid the eating disorder ones...watching them vomit and stuff bothers me |
|
I saw the week before, with the pilot father. Both mom and son needed intervention.
