A bit of baseball lore in celebration of the All Star Game tonight,...
The first testicular guard (Cup) was used in baseball in 1874 and the first
helmet was used in 1934.

It took 60 years for men to realize that the brain is also important!!!!!

2. more trivia
There are only two days in the year when there is not a professional baseball, football, basketball or hockey game taking place: that is the day before and the day after the All Star game.

5. Not a professional game
by my exacting standards. I saw that one year about 20 years back during a trip to Cooperstown. Quite a treat.

7. Lotta Little League results
Make sure you get every kid's name in, even the ones who struck out looking in their only at-bat and spent their one inning in right field peering through their glove at a bug on the grass.

After all, they tried, so they deserve just as much credit.
