Is it weird that I've never smoked pot, snorted coke, shot up anything, or dropped acid?

Now at my high school? You would have been weird. Hell, my grade school had a major reputation:rofl: It wasn't till I went to college that I met people that hadn't done drugs or had sex until they were adults. It was just normal for that place in those days, I guess - it was not some inner city crime ridden environment - pretty much white suburbia.

The week was stressful. Among the reasons: She found out what's about 50% of her mother's health problem: brother Randy, who is a flaming asshole, who is just plain mean and hateful towards his mother. Kathy sent him home one night and she didn't see him again until the day she left.

although I do think its weird that some progressive people who should know better ,seem to be so judgmental about it ( NOT referring to you, by the way, nor necessarily anyone who's responded to this particular post, but just views I've seen expressed on DU that surprised and disappointed me)). I've done all those things except shooting up ( never would consider that EVER), but do none of them now; haven't for many years... I was an intelligent, informed ,and good and decent person then,when I was getting high, and I'd like to think that I still am. I personally think coke is REAL bad for you, and regret having ever done it. The others? Personal choice; I know people whose lives were unquestionably ( from personal observation of them and by their own change of attitude for the better) enhanced by mind-expanding drugs, and I know a few people who got real messed up because of them. Most of the former ( and in some cases , still current) pot-heads I've known have had happy, successful lives, and the same goes for most of the former acid-heads I've known ( and I'm talking, in some cases, people who did A LOT, and are to this day, some of the finest, most together people I've ever known). But there is no reason to use any of these if you choose not to, and no one should feel weird about that choice, nor should they feel any pressure to try something they are wary of, or simply have no interest in.

Let me tell you a funny story. I have never consumed illicit drugs voluntarily (the worst I've had is 2nd hand cannabis smoke). I moved into a student residence in my 3rd year at university. My flat mates were small time drug dealers, basically selling cannabis resin which is then broken up and smoked. I had no clue what cannabis resin was, what it looked like. I moved in kind of late, but the flat mates left the shared kitchen in an absolute pigsty, I proceeded to tidy up. Including emptying the ashtrays. Including the $2k of cannabis resin into the rubbish. Needless to say once I got the complaint, there was a rush to the rubbish bags. Fortunately for them the cannabis was in the near empty rubbish bag. Unfortunately for them, once I found out what it was I complained to University housing, I got moved (eventually), and a few months later they got arrested and convicted for drug dealing. One of those guys was a med student; guess he won't be a doctor any time soon.
