Sorry to have upset you, but I'm weak and easy when it comes to the cheap joke.

Her Texas jibes were light-years away from the older-than-dirt schtick we routinely see here.

And she paired them with an obvious love for Texas, something the recyclers of such long-worn-out attempts at jokes fail to do.

To explain it further, it's like the difference between a black comedian making savage jokes about blacks and a white comedian making savage jokes about blacks. One is acceptable and one is not. One is funny and one is not.

I have nothing against you personally, I find I often agree with you in other posts. You are intelligent and make well-argued posts in other threads. You are just wrong in this case. Texans are tired of Texas bashing by non-Texans and are quick to let people know about it.

Texas DUers are sick to death of the hatred that we see here, day after day after day. Thoughtless, blanket prejudice directed against the entire state, millions of Democrats included. It's no joke. It's not funny.

You guys have lower humidity.

Right now:

Tucson: temperature...103F...heat index...99
Dallas: temperature...104F...heat index...107

You also get 8-10 degrees cooler at night than we do.
