Does anybody else hate those damn wheelie shoes?
You know the ones I mean, the ones that half the kids in the country seem to be wearing these days. You'll be walking along, minding your business, when a kid will appear out of nowhere, break inti a short sprint, then lift their toes and coast along on that single wheel.

I don't know why, but I hate, hate HATE those damned things! Anybody else loathe those damn shoes, or am I just the youngest curmudgeon in the world?

GET OFF MY LAWN, YOU DAMN KIDS!

1. I think it's cool that they have such a thing that they like, I HATE
when absent minded parents have 3 kids wheeling around the supermarket like it's Winter Olympic figure skating tryouts.

6. it depends on how old you are in order for me to know if you're the
youngest "curmudgeon" in the world.

as for the shoes? i think they're ammusing as hell. i love to see the kids flying around/by. it's like something out of alice in wonderland or an acid flashback.

7. Yes you are a curmugeon...sorry
The first time I saw a little kid running and then start to "glide" along the ground. I thought he was vampire or something...Imagine my relief when I realized he had wheels on his shoes.

10. So are sandals OK
But not flip flops? The difference is couple more pieces of leather on the sandals.

the wheels pop out and sometimes kids will forget where they put them.

but there is a place for them, and the grocery store is NOT one of those places. I bet I would have loved them when I was a kid.

19. I like them.
Mostly because my grandson has a pair, that we bought for him, and he looks so cute just tooling along in those things.

Don't worry, I'll keep him off your lawn. B-)

25. They only bother me when they lose control and slam into me....
And as of yet- that hasn't happened, so I really don't care one way or the other.

But I've seen some kids take some nasty spills on them- I bet the pediatric orthopedic surgery industry LOVES them.

27. I think they're awesome! Though it freaks me to see a kid moving without head going up and down
That's what usually gets my attention, is to see something going by staying perfectly level.

They look fun as hell, and every kid I've seen on them seems really happy.

they get my stamp of approval.

29. Despise them!
Was in the mall last year wearing one of those strap-on "boots" for my broken foot. Around the corner comes this "husky" 13-14 year old who plowed into me sending me spilling into the men's tie display.

He kept going. His parents were right behind him and they uttered some type of inaudible apology.

If that had been my child, husky or not, he would have learned a lesson that day.

30. I don't really object to them, but I have had to say,
"Whoa....careful!" to some kids who were being reckless. Other than that, let the kids have fun. I remember living on clamp-on roller skates in the summers I was 9 and 10 years old. Wore out the metal wheels on about a dozen pairs.
