What Are the Best Album Covers Of All Time?
Any genre, any time period.

I'll get the party started with an extraordinary cover from an extraordinary band:

5. yeah, they started out shipping them with the zippers "up"
but the zippers scratched the record in shipment... the solution?

"unzip" them so the moving part of the zipper was positioned on the label where it didn't scratch the playing surface.

the bonus? it was even naughtier in the stores...

2. Dark Side of the Moon and Wish you were here. Both gorgeous and symbolic. And Rio by Duran Duran!
Sorry, I am clueless as to how to post the images. Wish you were here is worth looking up if you've never seen it.

22. I remember the press releases...
...half of the buzz came from the fact that it was on Swan Song, Led Zep's label. Outside of that, it's still a classic, no matter how you slice it.

It's a lurid red that makes your eyes bleed. And the purple makes it strobe annoyingly.

23. In the Court of the Crimson King
It's one of a kind. I can think of several Hypgnosis covers, a few crashing Zeppelins/etc., neked people, where's Waldo covers, black and/or white albums, but there's only one of these, here's the full album, all four sides, inside and outside.
