Who here has had a gizzard(pieces or parts) removed? |
|
Check in if you've had your tonsils, adenoids, gal bladder, appendix, spleen, or some other unnecessary piece or part removed.
Prizes to be announced later for most and/or most unusual part.
I'm still mostly intact, although I did have my gal bladder out last year.

a circumcision flamewar?
I went home in May to visit my newborn grandson. On my second day there my daughter mentioned that she couldn't bathe him yet because of his circumcision.
Me : audible gasp. "His what"? My daughter: "He is my baby, get over it".
Hey, at least she is breastfeeding !

3. I had my gal bladder out in '99 |
|
possibly TMI
I was waiting for my insurance to kick in, as I had just started a new job. I kept having serious attacks but couldn't afford treatment. It finally got so bad I ended up in the ER. The doc took me straight to surgery. When I came out of anesthesia, he said he didn't know how I survived as my gal bladder was gangrenous.
It sucks to be without insurance.

7. gall bladder yanked back in 95, I think |
|
My oldest son had his perfectly healthy appendix yanked at age 15 because the surgeon thought that might be where the watch battery he swallowed (did I mention male teenager?) had lodged. It wasn't. I recovered it in the "collection bucket" a day or so after he came home from the hospital.
Prizeworthy?

18. Believe it or not.... |

There is an underground plastic surgery network that operates out of hotels. No kidding. Glad to hear you were not in that kinda deal. In OKC a doc killed his wife doing a hotel liposuction.
