What a lousy night...

I like to use DU as a personal bitching tool, so I hope you don't mind.

Anyway, at some point yesterday, I started getting sick. I don't know with what, don't care and I'm not asking for medical advice. It has been hot here, pushing the low 100s and the pump in my house's AC is broken, so it just blows the hot air all around.

I was hot most of the day and then toward night, when it began cooling outside, started cooling down myself. I go to bed and at first, just sleep on top of the covers, because I was comfortable. I have my fan on to cool me down a bit and find that I'm gradually getting colder and colder. So I throw over a very thin Christmas blanket I always have at the edge of my bed. It works for a bit, but then again, I start getting colder and colder.

At about 5 in the morning, I'm to the point where I pull myself under all of the goddamn covers because I'm so f'n cold! It's like 95 in my house and I'm acting like it's 25. I have the shakes and I'm trying to warm up. Eventually, I fall asleep and wake fairly hot.

Thank goodness, right? Well I have a high fever, 102, so I got to wondering, what the hell was my fever during the mid-point of last night when I was freezing my ass off?

I'll never know.

But this started after the burn began to heal, so who knows.
