Tom Watson leads the British Open (He is 59 years old)
At the halfway mark, Tom Watson leads the British Open at -5, shooting par today in conditions that has Tiger Woods at +7.

This is amazing.

I met Mr. Watson several times when I was a lad. Very nice, humble...a real gentleman. I am rooting for him so much.

Just kidding, I watched it early because I couldn't sleep. Great to see the "old man" making the kids sweat. The wily old veteran knows how to play links style golf very well. Love to see him hang on and take the Championship. :)

2. Tom is from Lee's Summit, MO, IIRC
I grew up in the suburbs of KCMO in the 70's, and didn't even realize that he was still at it.

Consummate gentleman, and awesome at the British Open in years gone by. I want him to have this one.

11. Still leading with 18 holes left to play
well I WAS going to go hiking tomorrow, now I may have to sit in front of the TV to see if he can finish it off.
