I haven't heard- have the sunspots returned yet? |
|
Apparently a few weeks back the sun entered a completely quiescent state when it shouldn't have- all the sunspots disappeared.
I was wondering if they'd reappeared or if the sun's getting ready to go nova.
Hey. Ya think about shit like this sometimes too. Admit it. :headbang:

1. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six! |

No idea, sweetie!
I don't think the sun's about to go nova, though...
It's about half way through its expected lifespan...
And yes, I do think about this shit sometimes!:P

2. My Dear Girl, if you've ever read any decent sci-fi at all, |
|
you'll know how incredibly easy it can be to blow up the sun. Evildoers do it all the time.

3. I haven't read a lot of it... |
|
I did read a book of short stories by Arthur Clarke, called "Reach for Tomorrow." There's one story that made my skin crawl...
"A Walk in the Dark."
Best to read it in full daylight with other people around! :scared:
I guess I'm just not in tune with evildoers!
:hi:

4. We have something worse than that on our hands |
|
There is a brown dwarf lurking in our solar system. Near Neptune right now, last I heard.

6. It looks like I may have lied |
|
I heard it on an internet radio show and now looking online I can't find anything definitive -- some say there is something near Neptune and Pluto that is influencing their orbit, which may be the theoretical planet Nibiru but is said to actually be a brown dwarf, and there is another story about a brown dwarf near us but not in our solar system.
The show briefly threw out there that a brown dwarf is near the planet Neptune.
Anyways, keep your eyes open and keep reaching for the stars --er -- brown dwarfs!
Dwarves?
