"Warehouse 13" on SyFy

Has anyone here watched this new show? I've had the pilot episode DVR'd for a while and finally watched it last night. I really enjoyed it!

2. It's a lot of fun, but I kept on...

flashing on "Friday the 13th the Series" where a happy little band is running around collecting nasty magic artifacts sold by some evil magician uncle. And there was another more recent show about collecting magic thingies.

I also flashed on "Special Unit 2" and, of course, "The X-Files" and "Bones" with the mismatched teams of rational, analytical women and emotional, intuitional men.

So, I kept on thinking I'd seen it all before, even the steampunk stuff in the cave.

But, if they don't save on writers and get really stupid with the plots, it's still a fun formula that works and I'll keep watching.

3. Sounds about right

The good thing is, it's on SyFy, so they don't have to worry as much about the fickle network tv viewers who can bury a show before the characters are even developed.

5. "Resonance" (the second show) was better than the first episode,

I thought. I liked the getting-to-know-the-characters part of the first episode, but the resolution with the magic comb at the concert? Pure, unadulterated shit. Really pissed me off, I thought it was so terrible.

Resonance redeemed itself a bit. I'll definitely watch it, but I hope it improves some.

And the last two Eureka episodes haven't knocked my socks off, either.

6. Yeah, the comb was a weeee bit hokey

Reminded me of the live action Scooby Doo movie.

8. I agree that the second episode was better than the first

The characters seem to be settling down and the story lines are a bit more plausible. I'm with you on that comb thing. What the hell?

Based on these 2 episodes, I'll keep watching.
