Haven't been to the mall of america in 8 years...

Not many empty store units, though I only traversed level 1 and only the west, south, and east sides...

Not many people there, either... very easy to get a parking spot...

Apple store was very busy... almost bought "Final Draft" but then read the endorsements and noting the names, half of them couldn't write anything of genuinely intellectually-worthy depth if their lives depended on it, and I don't write movie scripts anyway...

As was Barnes and Noble, rather busy... bought a couple books, including Joomla... which has a defective track 6 and has several people on several sites claiming the video looked like it was put together by a bunch of incompetent twits... (looking at various reviews and similarities on various sites, there's no way this special bundle was a B&N "exclusive"...)

Got lost on level 4 with the movie theaters... all the movies looked so enthralling, watching an amoeba take a dump would be more entertaining by comparison...

Drive through downtown on the way home...

Lots of jaywalkers and other damn fools... where are the cops? Too scared to fine jaywalkers? Yet states and cities are strapped for cash -- Yo, cops, there's a hidden market for you! You're welcome!!!

Glad to be home in one piece...

I hope you have fun there next week!

I remember driving there after HS graduation on a Saturday, 1991... the final visit...

After 4 hours, got bored... started at the entrance from my car... overheard some little heifer told her girlfriend "Is he just going to stand there?" and as a quick glance confirmed I was the only one gawking at the amusement park, thinking of mostly good memories from years' gone by when mom drove me down, I left. (Dad was always working and that scene wasn't his idea of fun anyway...)

Couldn't go on them now if I wanted to (disc removal/fusion surgery)...

3. Addendum:
While "Camp Snoopy" was gone, all the camp-style buildings remain, but it's got figures of Spongebob the Prophylactic and Dora the Whora and other cable network copyrighted characters...

I miss the Peanuts gang(tm)... not quite as corporate-centric...

4. ahh mannn! No way!!!! Camp Snoopy is gone?!
years ago that was the only reason the kids ever wanted to go to the mall, well that and Lego Land. I used to like to go to the Sharper Image store and sit around on their massage chairs haha.

I am planning on riding some rides at Valleyfair, unless it's really hot out, then probably not, heat and amusement park thrill rides are not good together, especially after eating greasy sugary valleyfair food. Probably hit the zoo too if it's not too hot.
