but for his miserable existence, Sex and the City would have starred Sarah Jessica Parker-KamaAina. :(

47. it's not a comparison I would have made -
Rebel is a highly complex, moody and tragic film about abandonment and delinquency, while Ferris Bueller is a fairly lightweight 80s romp with some social commentary. Granted John Hughes made some great films. The actual book Rebel was based on was a case study of a psychopath.

I'd be more likely to compare Rebel with the Breakfast Club, actually - I think the issues are more similar.

and now I think it is more accurate to say that James Dean was a Rebel WITH a Cause.

9. It is extremely dated.
And completely lacking in reality compared to modern day.

Seriously, we (friends) skipped school - a lot - and it was not an event like that.

42. How did you skip school and what kind of event was it?
I won't claim to have had as grand an event as that movie shows, but generally when I skipped with friends it involved getting into the car, driving outside of the school district, and having a hell of a time. We'd usually start by hitting the breakfast buffet in the neighboring school district.

6. James Dean died
young and has the mystique about him. Matthew Broderick is just an old asshole with sideburns who cheated on his wife. Sad sack, really.

James Dean is really overrated too.

Of course, his wife looks like a foot, so that isn't a surprise.

I hear he cheated on her with his hand.

Zing!

by those cars driving over the cliff and come out of the ocean and started destroying everything. I think I'll take my videos and edit them so that instead of the Sal Mineo hostage taking sequence I can just watch Godzilla from that point.
