I just accidentally came up with the best band name.
I washed a load of old rags that we'd cut out of worn out clothes and my husband was folding them. He picked up a stained rag that still had the collar of the old t-shirt along with some of the front and back of the shirt and it struck us both as really funny. We started laughing and I said "It looks like a dirty dickey!" which sent us over the edge.

So you heard here first folks. If you see Dirty Dickey headlining at Coachella you know I've hit the big time.

2. Thanks! I'm glad someone gets it. I was starting to think maybe I was the only
one who knew what a dickey was. :)

4. Reminds me a lot of the harmonica player for the J. Geils Band-

Magic Dick.
He is currently re-forming the old band and I think they have been touring again.

ADDED: You are certainly in the right ballpark, though...a little filth never hurts. See m profile for a name of one of my old bands.

6. I was a big fan of the band when I was a young teen. And of course thought his
name was hilarious. The best part about my band name is it just sounds filthy. It's just an item of clothing. We could wear them onstage even. :)

7. Actually, I like your DU name for a band, if it were a certain kind of
arty music....

9. It does kinda sound like art rock for some reason. With a spacey twist.
Just like me, arty and spacey! :)

8. Now you'll need to accidentally learn to play guitar.
Too bad that doesn't happen quite as frequently.

11. I didn't mean to sound cruel, and I'm sorry if I did.
It's just too bad that the skills are not so easily acquired as the idea.

12. No, you didn't sound cruel. I was just teasing.
Now the guy upthread who took the time to write "No, it's not that good." or whatever sounded cruel. I'm going to hope he was kidding.

:)

But yeah, don't you wish skills like that could just be implanted in your brain? I played the drums in high school and I sing quite well, so all is not lost.
