Anyone here have a cat that's the direct descendant of a cat they had ages ago? |
|
I mean, a great-great-grandson/daughter, or more generations than that?

I just took in 3 kittens who are descendants of a pretty little feral cat who showed up on my doorstep 3 years ago. She disappeared after her 2nd litter. :( But her 2 brothers hung around until last year, when they too disappeared. I know they're her descendants because one of her kittens is their mother (& yes, that one's feral too, so I'm sure she'll have more kittens soon). Fortunately, she brought the kittens to my house early enough for me to socialize them & bring them inside. They're cute as buttons too. :)

2. My girl kitty is the daughter of my |

niece's cat (sad story, she was killed by a dog when the kittens were just a couple of weeks old), who was the granddaughter of the family's first cat. I believe Xena thinks that this linage places her above the other cats, particularly my roommate's cat who was rescued from a trash can. :P
