I just got back from Portland...what a cool city!! |
|
Went up to Portland for a wedding, so didn't get to explore the city as much as I would have liked, but Saturday my wife and I got to wander around a bit. We had some great food, beer, coffee -- and went to the biggest book store I have ever seen..., a store called "Powell's". We hit the farmer's market, wandered around some shops and galleries, met some cool people...
I could definitely live there.

I had a choice years ago to move there or Austin. I chose Austin for a variety of reasons but I always think about Portland.
My wife and I have been giving it some thought lately to moving north (global warming and all) and thought we should before there is a big rush.
Portland is always my first and only choice.

3. Its my dream to live in/around Portland........ |
|
but at 41yo, I figure I'd better get a move on before I miss my opportunity. But, the 12% unemployment rate out there is a bit discouraging.
