41. I just went and watched the show, its on Hulu.

Penny's songs were great, but the rest of it was too much bad things. So it did not have the humor it could have had for me.

Not sure what Joss was thinking on that one... It was like Captain Hammer was suppose to be good but was shallow, and the bad guy wanted to be even worse. :puke:

But there were some good songs about hope, and the idea that everyone is a hero in their own way is so true. :)

I just got to the end, how terrible, I hope Joss is ok maybe I missed some sarcasm in it but it doesn't make much sense. He has the no feeling thing in it also, maybe I just didn't 'get it' but it seems flipped or unhappy through most of the short.

Maybe it is because I was trying to find a character to identify with, and none seemed to have very many good values, it was like Joss was just putting a hodge podge of bad on the screen.

But he mixed it with things like the status quo being good, and conflicts for reasons of self. Then he puts tragedy without purpose.

We can of coarse agree to disagree. And I agree that anyone that wants power has far too many issues to begin with.

I think the problem was he took some common themes that are in many other things out there that are good, then added his view of despair to them. Most of his stuff needs flipping but that show seemed too like a spoiled comment. Yea that's it, he took "The Doctor, with a time thing"(Dr Who) a great character in fiction, and made him horrible. Then he took the Hammer symbol and made it shallow. I think that is why it was so gross it took symbols of good things just to smear them in my view. I wonder if he is still upset about the name thing?

Why do you identify with the evil guy? If it is just the parts of aloneness, know that the evil and jealousy shown does not have to be a part of that.

I think that is also part of what I didn't like, he really adds alot of bad into every part of the characters, sometime leveraged off of sadness, which is more bad.

He was Alicia Silverstone's jerk ex-boyfriend. Some funny scenes with him and Brendan Fraser....

The movie is worth seeing for Christopher Walken and Sissy Spacek, and for Fraser's dance scene, but if you want your eye candy, "Cliff" has about 5-10 minutes in the film.
